The Untold Story Of The Father Of Awarding Winning Musician, Teni.

Teniola Apata, a musician from Nigeria better known by her stage name Teni the Entertainer, is reaping the rewards of music’s success, notoriety, and wealth.

Her songs “Case” and “Billionaire” were received favorably by many people. She received several awards in 2018 including “Rookie of the Year” at the Headies, “Best New Artiste” at the Soundcity MVP Awards Festival, and “Most Promising Act to Watch” at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards. She is also a Best New International Act nominee for the 2018 BET Awards. Her reputation is undoubtedly improving.

The fact that Simeon Apata, Teni’s father, was a retired Army Brigadier-General in the Nigerian army is not widely known, though. He had served in the Civil War as well.
The Apata Memorial High School, a prestigious private boarding school in Lagos, Nigeria, that Apata founded in 1980 is his legacy.

It is thought that the school, which is one of the best in Lagos State and is thought to have 1550 students and 150 teachers, is a leading institution in the Oshodi-Isolo local government and a favorite among the elite of Nigeria.

People in the know also claim that the army man engaged armed robbers while he was still alive and killed some of them, whose threatening activities in his neighborhood had been a cause for concern. When he was murdered by gunmen on January 8, 1995, ensuring that his area was a safe haven may have cost him his life. His passing left Lagos in shock and his house in a void.

Teni revealed that she wrote the song “Wait” in memory of her father and as a result of that experience.

The Teni Makanaki.
Wait chronicles my parents’ romantic relationship. I was inspired when my mother was crying and wished that my father could have persisted, she said.

People say Teni is definitely an “Ajebutter” (denotes someone who has been over-pampered) and not an “Ajepako” (hustler), despite the fact that she claimed she wants to be a “billionaire” despite the fact that her “papa no be Dangote or Adeleke” and the Apata Memorial Schools in Isolo are now run by his three wives.
