Thomas Adesina Jacobson Ogunbiyi was born in Lagos 1866. The first teacher officially assigned to the area now known as
1866.Ondo Province returned to St. Stephen’s Ang. Primary School, Oke Aluko, Ondo (first primary school in Ondo Province) February 20, 1890.

In 1921 he became Archdeacon of Lagos and in 1936 a member of the Legislative Council. TAJ Ogunbiyi founded the Reformed Ogboni Fraternity (ROF) on December 18, 1914. It was formerly known as Ogboni Onigbagbo (Ogboni Fraternity of the Christians). The name was changed to ROF because it was known that it was not intended exclusively for Christians. It is considered a cultural heritage that cannot be limited to religion. Ultimately, it mentioned people of different religions, races and political affiliations.

The first members of the ROF included: Omooba Dr. Orisadipe Obasa – the first Oluwo (master), Ven T.A.J.Ogunbiyi – first Olori Apena, Princess Chalotte Blaze Obasa – first Lya Abiye, Sir Adeyemo Alakija – first Olori Oluwo (Grand Master), Prince M. Adesemoyin, Bishop Leslie Vining (first Archbishop of the Church of the West African Province, Sir Nnamdi Azikiwe, Sir Adetokunbo Ademola – Olri Oluwo (Grand Master), King George VI, Ooni Olubuse Il of Ife, Alake Ladapo Ademola of Egbaland, Chief Ladoke Akintola, Sir Ahmadu Bello etc. Some of the old members of the 20th century are still alive. He kicked the bucket in 1957.
