She told a short anecdote a few years ago in an interview with Chief MKO Abiola’s daughter, Hafsat Abiola. MKO once helped a student with his school costs, among other things. However, he was the first to declare that MKO was not the Messiah after June 12.
He served as head of state while in the military, even though he had friends at the top who might aid. After many years, he became president for eight years, and for once, he was unable to bring up MKO. He was unable to honor him.
