An Image of Mamman Vatsa and his Children Before His Execution in 1986

He was Nigerian general and poet who was member of the Supreme Military Council as well as the Federal Capital Abuja Minister.

He was put to death on March 5, 1986, by General Ibrahim Babangida’s military government, his childhood buddy, after a military trial found him guilty of treason related to an attempted coup. Before he could get the glassware etched with his initials, which was supposed to be present, he was put to death.
