This was Chief Awolowo’s to begin with first ever visit to Chief Hubert Ogunde’s home after he was discharged from the Calabar jail by the modern Military Government of Col. Yakubu Gowon.
Chief Obafemi Awolowo once more visited Chief Ogunde in his residence in 1979. They remained best of friends until they passed on.
