Brief Background on Nigerian Playwright and Actor Yemi Ajibade

Yemi Ajibade, sometimes known as Yemi Goodman Ajibade, was Nigerian playwright, actor, and director who made important contributions to Black theater canon and British theatre after relocating to England in the 1950s.

His notable roles as an actor include Danger Man (1964), The Exorcist: The Beginning (2004), and Dirty Pretty Things (2002). Over the course of half-century career, he directed and wrote number of popular plays, in addition to appearing in a variety of dramatic roles for radio, television, theater, and film.

In 1973, Yemi Ajibade married poet and actress Ebony.
