In 1919, he was born in Offa, Nigeria’s Kwara State. At Ile Arogun, he received his Quranic education from Sheikh Ismaila Jeje. His Alfa said he performed exceptionally well at the Quranic School. He was a remarkable and supernatural saint in the eyes of Allah and humanity, according to history. In the spiritual sciences of God and among the followers of the Divine Law, he was the leading light of his day. He was well-known in the fields of Haqeeqah, Shariah, and Sufism. After Senegalese colossus Sheikh Ibrahim bn Abdullah Niyas passed away, he became known as the Magnate (Ghaosu) of his era. According to one of his poems, he was the one who took over Al Ghawth-al-Azam’s throne:
“I took over the throne of Ghaosiyyah, the great succour on earth, out of Divine love. My predecessor Ibrahim had held this position before me, making me the general overseer and leader of all the saints of the world.” In the former old Oyo empire in Oyo State, Nigeria, Sayyid Abdul-Hakeem Akanmu Iji of the Lagbedu Royal family, Ogbomoso, is the father of the current magnate, Sheikh Muhammad Jamiu Bulala (R.T. A). Sayyidat Humuani Oyebimpe Abebi Okin, his mother, was a princess of the Adegboye Atoloyetele Royal family in 1919 and lived in Offa, Kwara State, Nigeria. There were numerous tales surrounding his birth, one of which stated that he was observed laughing heartily the day he was born—an unusual occurrence for a newborn.
Furthermore, it was reported that when he was born, two navels were visible on his stomach. However, one of the navels unexpectedly vanished right away but later reappeared as a result of shouting. It is possible that the history of magical acts performed by Africans is true as well, if the amazing stories found in the Bible and Quran are indeed true. These were a few of the indications that sheikh Muh’d Jamiu Bulala displayed, portraying him from birth as an extraordinary, extraordinary, and supernatural servant of God. Sheikh Bulala responded, “I laughed on the very day I was born welcoming myself to the people of Offa and the whole universe for the great blessing God showered on them through my arrival to their midst,” when questioned later about the signs seen on the day he was delivered.
Second, during the lifetime of Rasulullahi Muhammad s.a.w., a sign emerged during one of the battles waged against the idolators of Meccah, which led to the creation of the two navels. The speaker declared, “I was a reincarnation of one of the previous waliyi (saints) on earth because saints’ souls do not die; rather, they transmigrate into another holy body to be reborn in order to carry out the task that Allah has assigned them.” Before being allowed to live with his mother’s relative, sayyidi Muhammad-l-Awwal Adegoke of Ojude’s compound in Offa, Sheikh Bulala briefly resided in Ogbomoso. At an early age, the massive Sheikh Muh’d Jamiu Bulala studied the Qur’an under the guidance of Sheikh Ismaila Jeje of Arogun’s compound in Offa. Rasululahi (S.A.W) once said that one should seek knowledge “from the cradle to the tomb, even as far as China.” Bulala was driven by this desire for knowledge. Following Sheikh Ismaila Jeje’s completion of the Holy Qur’an in Offa, Sheikh Bulala traveled to the Nigerian city of Ilorin in Kwara State in search of divine wisdom and direction. Sheikh Abdul Rahman Alabidun, Sheikh Akanlabi, and Sheikh Oke Aluko were among his Sheikhs; however, Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Adangba was the most well-known. It was from these outstanding Sheikhs that he learned the sciences of Qur’anic exegesis, the science of Rasululahi traditions, theology, jurisprudence, grammar, rhetoric, logic, semantics, Qur’anic recitation, and philology. The saintly Sheikh Bashir Adangba proved to be a more spiritually oriented teacher for him.
Sheikh Muhammad Jamiu Bulala led a chaste life and spent a total of 38 years in khalwa in pursuit of understanding the Divine Being.
The Sheikh typically chants Lahilaha ilallahu after leaving this prayer retreat and makes some incomprehensible claims, like saying that he is Sheikh Abdul Qadir, that he is Ali bn Abi Talib, the fourth orthodox caliph of Islam, and that he was with the prophetMusa (peace be upon him) when they crossed the Red Sea to escape Pharaoh’s pursuit. It was also said that he would tell people he knew when he would arrive in Offa, how long he would stay, where he came from, where he was going after leaving Offa, and when he would die.The Sufis believe that the faithful servants of God reincarnate in this manner. It was stated that Khalifah Aleshinro of Ogun State, along with other sheikh’s devotees, paid the sheikh a visit. Someday.Sheikh made the customary decision to amuse his guest. Then he brought a loaf of bread inside. He was shocked to see that nearly half of the bread had been consumed by rats.He became irritated by this and ordered all the rats in his home to gather in front of him so he could find out which of them had tampered with the bread. Sheikh took a broom and told the rat not to do that again because he feeds them all the time. After one of the rats emerged and lifted its front legs to indicate that it was it that had eaten the bread.
The visitor was taken aback by Sheikh’s action and the way he and the rats communicated to determine which of them had tampered with the bread. (Sheikh Muh’d Raji Afelele provided the narrative). Despite being absurd, this incident could be included in Karamat. The history of the Qur’an describes the dialogue between the prophet Sulayman and the ants.Prophet Sulayman exclaimed, “O my lord! ” when he heard one of them speak. Thus, direct me so that I may express my gratitude for the blessings you have given me.” This demonstrates how much of an honor it is for man to be able to communicate with animals.
Furthermore, Sheikh Muh’d Baare Sengina, a Sheikh from Kaduna who belongs to the Tijaniyyah, stated that he had lived in Khalwa, or prayer seclusion, with Sheikh Muh’d Jamiu Bulala for six months and had not seen him eat during that time. Furthermore, whenever Sheikh Baare asked for food, Sheikh Jamiu would simply enter and bring out food that he (Sheikh Baare) had not witnessed anyone preparing because no one else was present in the Khalwa and there were no food remnants to be found. Additionally, he mentioned that the food was consistently wrapped in an enigmatic cloth that he had never seen before.
The Holy Qur’an tells us the story of Maryam, who had her needs met without having to struggle for them, so this story is not impossible. Says the Qur’an!
Her Lord accepted her with great grace, allowed her to mature in beauty and purity, and gave her to Zakariya’s care. Upon entering (Her) chamber to visit her, he always found her well-fed.“O Maryam, whence is this coming to you?” he asked. “From God, for God gives nourishment in moderation.” she replied.
