In 1964, this was the start of his disastrous path. Tokunbo tragically died in 1973, four years after attending Eton, at the age of 22. Because he was the first Black African student at Eton, he was subjected to constant bullying, according to historical reports. His experiences there had a profound effect on his mental health.
